The Gift of Diversity as a Path to Resilience
In my opinion E & I work has entered adolescence; after a decade plus of experience, some practitioners are stepping back and taking a critical assessment of their process. During my assessment of the E & I program, I found several common criticisms amongst blue collar workers: trainings were too academic, redundant, and a lacked practical approaches to conflict engagement. Several instances were reported of conflicts between white employees and employees of color or their allies following E & I trainings. Understanding the nature of systemic
oppression does not equip one to skillfully engage the interpersonal conflicts that result from discussing systemic oppression.ick here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.
