Co- founder of the Humanistic Management network. Michael Pirson joined the Gabelli School of Business as an associate professor of management systems in 2008. A scholar of humanistic management. Dr. Pirson is a research fellow at Harvard University and serves on the board of three social enterprises in the United States. He is also the co-editor of the Humanism in Business book series, published by Palgrave-McMillan.

Dr. Jyoti Bachani is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Innovation at Saint Mary's College of California. She has been a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar to India, Editor-in-Chief of Emerald Emerging Markets Case Study Collection, Past-President of Western Casewriters association and board member of North American case Research Association. Her research interests are in the area of strategy making in purpose driven organizations in technology, nonprofit, and Indian contexts. She will showcase two of her case-studies on mindful use of technology for creating sustainable futures as part of her Humanistic Management research. She has authored one book, edited two, and several case-studies and academic articles. 

By sharing her pragmatic Humanist approach to living life fully and intentionally, Jennifer has transformed the lives of those who have been touched by her work.  By encouraging people be the best, most ethical humans they can be, she consistently challenges people to think about and question who they are, what they are and more importantly, how they want to be. Currently working on a book about Humanistic Business Management.

David M. Wasieleski is the Chair of the Management and Marketing Department and Professor of Business Ethics in the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University.  David completed his doctorate in Business Environment and Public Policy in the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. He currently serves as Associate Editor for Business and Society and Book Review Editor for the Journal of Business Ethics Education, and sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Organizational Moral Psychology.

 

Erica Steckler is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Robert J. Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Research Fellow at the W. Michael Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University. Her work focuses on stakeholder perceptions of organizational authenticity, corporate sustainability and responsibility, positive organizational transformation, authentic governance, and issue interpretation. She adopts a humanistic management approach to understanding and optimizing strategic engagement at the intersection of organizational, leadership, stakeholder, and global sustainability contexts. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Management and Organization at Boston College.  

Sustainability Author, Graduate Faculty, Researcher, Executive Coach, Consultant, Parelli Foundation, Fielding Graduate University.  She is currently a faculty member in Fielding Graduate University’s Organizational and Leadership Masters Program and conducts research on bottom line business practices. She is a professional leadership coach, certified through the International Coach Federation, the International Association of Coaches and other coaching organizations. Kassel is a publicly elected official, serving on the Harmony, Florida, Community Development Board of Supervisors She has been widely quoted in national publications including TIME magazine, Real Simple, the Chicago Tribune and elsewhere.

Mark has been a founding core faculty member in the Center for Creative Change at Antioch University Seattle for 15 years.  Over that time, he also held numerous administrative and leadership positions at Antioch, including director of the MS Management and later the BA Liberal Arts programs, and interim president of the institution.  Mark’s scholarship and teaching emphasizes collaboration, global pluralism, transformative leadership, community building, and experiential learning.  These interests are informed by Mark’s many years of association with the Peace Corps.
