International Humanistic Management Conference Coming to Seattle

Building Resilience in a Changing World


The International Humanistic Management Association USA Chapter is hosting a management conference in Seattle October 24th through 26th at the Motif in Seattle.  

 

The conference, Building Resilience in a Changing World, is bringing together business leaders from Seattle and from around the world to discuss how to empower employees in a changing world. 

 

24 speakers, including Tom Everill ex- CEO of Northwest Center and 

Cylvia Hayes the Former First Lady of Oregon, will be participating in panel discussions and breakout sessions to discuss everything from the basic principles of humanistic management to respecting and encouraging diverse workforce to how we change the world. 

 

This conference is the brainchild of Pauline McCharles of Inspiration Developers who is a founding member of the USA Chapter of the International Humanistic Management Network.  Ms. McCharles said she organized the conference because “Seattle is at the cutting edge of the new global corporate community and it’s the perfect place to come together to discuss best practices in how we develop our business, our people, environmental stewardship, and empowering healthy decision making.”

 

Humanistic Business Management balances the needs of the people who work for the business with the people who benefit from the business and the people who are impacted by the business. It’s about ensuring the long-term impact of the company is net positive for everyone. 

 

The Humanistic Management Association USA chapter, acts as a hub for researchers, practitioners and policymakers interested in the promotion and practice of Humanistic Management and Leadership consistent with the mission and values of the Humanistic Management Network globally.
